The history of coffee houses “Shokoladnitsa” starts from the famous coffee house “Shokoladnitsa” near “Oktyabrskaya” metro station – the only place in Moscow that offered such dainty dishes and drinks as hot chocolate and fabulous pancakes with chocolate, raisins and nuts for several decades. Within the whole period from the opening of the coffee house in the year 1964 till nowadays when it has turned into a network of comfortable coffee houses, “Shokoladnitsa” led and continues to lead the “coffee fashion” in Moscow. The new life of the coffee house commenced in the year 2000. Renewed “Shokoladnitsa” started to work according to the European standards that provide for considerable increase and regular renewal of assortment, high level of service and high quality of cuisine.
There are more than 321 coffee houses operating in full swing in Russia and the CIS countries today. Since 2008, our chain is actively developing a franchise program. At the moment, there are 75 coffee houses and 7 "Shokoladnitsa-Express" coffee-points operating on a franchise basis in 42 cities of Russia and abroad.
The chain of coffee houses "Shokoladnitsa" regularly becomes the winner of various franchise
competitions, as one of the most successful franchises in HoReCa. In March 2013 the chain of coffee houses " Shokoladnitsa " won the nomination "The most successful franchise in HoReCa" in the contest of Russian Sandwich Awards at the International Fast Food Fair.
