Attractiveness of Egypt for the development of franchise business
Egypt is a country with the best-developed economy in Northern Africa. The Egyptian economy is based on tourism, textile production, chemicals, food processing, hydrocarbons, cement and metal production, pharmaceutical production, construction, and manufacturing. In 2014 the country exported $33.2 billion worth of goods to Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, India and Turkey.
Egypt has a population of 99,636,027 ppl and approximately 12 million tourists are expected to visit the country in 2018, according to Hamed el-Chiaty. The largest cities are Cairo (19.5 mln), Alexandria (5.2 mln), Giza (3.6 mln), Shubra El-Kheima (1.1 mln), and Port Said (626,000).

Egyptian franchise market generates EGP 12 billion a year providing 800,000 direct jobs and 1.5 million indirect jobs.
